![]() The issues arise when using the sync box with a Playstation. Again, I'm inclined to think its due to the sync box being introduced into the setup, but this time it doesn't affect the PS5. This doesnt happen when plugged directly into the projector. ![]() To eliminate syncing issue between the box and my lights being the cause, I plugged in my Apple TV into the sync box and the lights react perfectly.Īnother thing I've noticed when plugging PlayStation 4 into the sync box, the screen is squashed and I get black bars along the top and bottom of the screen (like movies). I can however, run the native YouTube and Netflix apps fine on my PS4. The lights do sync as you can see they turn a dim white colour when the Hue box's sync starts, but the lights just remain like that until you force stop syncing. Now, going back to not having the lights reacting, I tested it with my old PS4 and with that also, my lights do not react. I've even restarted my internet at the modem several times, not that I believed it would have been the cause but still good to eliminate! I also removed the sync box from my Hue setup and re-installed it, tested all the different options in the settings separately, still nothing. I have reset the PS5 to factory settings a few times and also tried customised settings, nothing. The issue still persists, so I've eliminated the HDMI cable type being the cause, although I have stuck with using the high quality ones. I have also tried various different HDMI cables, from using standard ones, all the way to 8K capable cables. I simply connected the PS5 directly to the projector and the apps load fine, I can run both apps perfectly.Īs soon as I connect the PS5 via the sync box, I can no longer run those apps.įrom this, I am led to believe the issue is due to the sync box being introduced into the setup. Staying with the issues related to the PS5 apps, to isolate which device the issue lies with, I removed the Sync box from the setup. I've played a couple of games and they seem to work fine when plugged into the sync box, but no reactions from my lights (I have 8 set up) which I'll mention more about below later as I feel this may be a separate issue. (Those are just 2 apps I have come across with this issue, there may be more eg. I just cant seem to get passed this point with these 2 apps. The suggested solution is to close the app and re-launch it, which I have several times. The error is related to something about the TV being changed from when the app was launched, which I haven't! Whenever I try to run the PS5 native YouTube or Netflix apps, I receive an error message (CE-108260-7) displayed on the PS5. I have a PS5 console connected to the Hue sync box (tried all 4 input ports), which is then connected to my projector. ![]() PS5 not playing native YouTube & Netflix app (there may be more) when plugged into Sync box.Ģ). I have a feeling there may be more than one cause to my issues!ġ). ![]() I'll try and give as many facts as possible. So I'm reaching out here hoping to get some assistance/advice. I've also reached out to Signify support, but I'm not getting my hopes up with them given the experience I have had already just from one call and the type of email I received to provide further information. I've scoured the internet and struggling to come across a post with similar issues to mine. In need of some desperate help please and possibly, hope, that I don't have to return my sync box! So I'm enjoying all the games that I had pending on Xbox One X and PS4 spending time until new products came out.ĭoes any of you have any idea? Am I missing something? Thank you! First all the problems with new Denon/Marantz AVRs, then I found Thenaudio Sharc (which I think could help me with HDMI 2.1 features and earc with my current AVR but no lights synchronization this way) or get a new AVR with 2 HDMI outputs (connecting output 2 to sync box and output 1 to TV, but I don't know if it will limit resolution and Hz on output 1 -some webs talk about using splitter between output 2 and sync box could help-) but I think there is no HDMI 2.1 AVR trustworthy with, at least, 2 inputs for PS5 and Xbox Series X nowadays. It's amazing.īut now I'm wondering how I could still enjoying Xbox Series X and PS5 games with all the lights without losing HDMI 2.1 features. This way I can enjoy games and films (most apps being used in my Xbox) with gradient, bars and bulbs synchronization. From HDMI out to HDMI 4 on Hue Sync Box and then to HDMI 2 of my LG C9. All connected to my Denon AVR X 1300W (Dolby Atmos enabled but no HDMI 2.1 or eARC -only ARC-). ![]() I have Xbox Series X, PS4, TV decoder, Nintendo Switch, etc. Hi! I'm new on this forum and I'm from Spain so, please, sorry for my English.įirst let me explain my current connection. ![]()
