![]() Or occasionally (especially when playing lower difficulty levels)… nothing happens.Ī lot of the game is down to luck of the dice – sometimes, it will just screw you over no matter how well you play. Could be more Doom tokens, taking you a step or two closer to failure, horrible monsters who make Adventures harder to complete, or hits to characters’ health/sanity. There are a few Adventures that you’ll want to clear ASAP, though – for as long as they’re unresolved, they might limit the number of dice you have available, or add to the bad stuff that happens at midnight (more on that shortly).Īfter all four of your characters have taken a turn, the clock strikes midnight… and more bad stuff happens. Fortunately, you can see what all the Adventures involve and what you’ll get if you win/lose, so pick whichever you think is best (or least bad) for your current character and situation. Some Adventures are easier than others, but harder ones carry the greatest rewards. When you have no dice left to roll, bad stuff happens.
